You can send bitcoin or dollars to a SatTag or email address and send bitcoin to an external wallet.
How to Send Bitcoin or Dollars
First, enable two-factor authentication if you have not yet done so. To set this up, go to the Settings page, choose Privacy & Security, and follow the steps.
Next, navigate to Send Money. On desktop, it can be found in the Move Money menu. On mobile, it can be accessed by the green shortcut buttons on the dashboard.
Select whether you want to send bitcoin or dollars.
Enter the amount of bitcoin or dollars you'd like to send.
Next, enter the recipient information:
- For bitcoin, enter an email, SatTag, or bitcoin address. We recommend copying and pasting the bitcoin address.
- For dollars, enter an email or SatTag.
Check the details, and if they look good, acknowledge by checking the box, then click "Continue."
Enter the two-factor authentication code from your authenticator app.
When will I receive my bitcoin or dollars after sending it?
The recipient will receive the funds instantly if they have a SatTag or are sent to an email address associated with a Coinbits account. If they are not a Coinbits member, they will receive an email invitation to join. Once they sign up, the funds will be available in their new account. If they don't claim it within 14 days, the transaction will be canceled at no charge to the sender.
It typically takes less than an hour to arrive if the bitcoin is sent to a bitcoin address. In some cases, it may take up to one business day.
